Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Velo Passport website and waitlist (the "Service") operated by [your name / company] ("we", "us", "our"). By using the Service or joining the waitlist, you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
Velo Passport is a cycling progress tracker and digital "passport". It is designed to let riders import rides (via Strava or GPX), match them to official EuroVelo routes, track completion, and collect digital stamps. The Service is currently pre-launch: today it offers a marketing website and an email waitlist. Features are described for information and may change.
2. Not a navigation or safety tool
Velo Passport is a progress, collection, and memory tool โ not a navigation, route-planning, or safety product. It does not provide turn-by-turn directions, live guidance, or assurances about road conditions or safety. Always plan and ride responsibly using appropriate tools and judgement.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least [16] years old (or the age of digital consent in your country) to join the waitlist or use the Service.
4. Waitlist & communications
By joining the waitlist you consent to receive emails about Velo Passport, including launch updates and early-access invitations. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service unlawfully or to infringe others' rights;
- attempt to disrupt, attack, or gain unauthorised access to the Service; or
- submit false information or other people's data without permission.
6. Intellectual property
The Service, including its branding, design, illustrations, stamps, and content, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by law. You may not copy or reuse it without permission. Content you submit (e.g. your rides and notes) remains yours; you grant us the permissions needed to operate the Service.
7. Third-party services
If you connect third-party services such as Strava, your use of them is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services.
8. No affiliation
Velo Passport is an independent project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the European Cyclists' Federation or the official EuroVelo network. "EuroVelo" is referenced descriptively to identify the public route network.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that ride matching, progress, or any feature will be accurate, complete, or uninterrupted.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
11. Changes
We may modify the Service or these Terms. For significant changes we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify waitlist subscribers. Continued use means you accept the updated Terms.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of [your country / jurisdiction], and the courts of [your jurisdiction] will have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country of residence.
